To whom it may concern,
I began writing my pamphlets in the Georgian age, a time when deference, elegance, scandal and hypocrisy knew their proper place.
So when Joseph Bonomi invited me to view Hannah Courtoy's now-famous tomb and test the machine Samuel Warner had just installed, I was more than happy to oblige, but had no idea I would be taking up permanent residence.
